What is a holster?
A holster is a case designed to carry a firearm safely. It keeps the weapon in a fixed position, protects the trigger, and allows quick access when needed. Depending on the model, it can be worn on the belt, thigh, shoulder, or chest.
What is a belly holster?
A belly holster, or abdominal holster, is a discreet holster worn around the waist or under the belt, often made of stretch fabric. It is used to conceal a weapon or accessories under clothing, particularly for civilian or concealed carry.
What type of holster is best for concealed carry?
For concealed carry, the best holsters are:
- IWB holster (Inside WaistBand): worn inside the belt
- Elastic belly holster: discreet and comfortable under clothing
- Thin shoulder holster: effective under a jacket
These models offer a good balance of accessibility, concealment, and safety.

Which holster should you choose?
The choice of holster depends on its intended use (civilian, military, airsoft, hunting), the type of weapon, and the desired level of discretion. For quick access in tactical clothing, a thigh holster is ideal. For discreet carry, an IWB or belly holster is recommended. Always choose a model with good retention, durable materials, and passive or active safety.
